About this Programme

The NCFE CACHE Level 3 Award for Special Educational Needs Coordinators in Early Years Settings (SENCo) is designed for early years practitioners who are responsible for supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) or who aspire to take on this important role. The programme develops the knowledge and skills required to identify, assess, and support children with additional needs while promoting inclusive practice within early years settings. Learners will explore the responsibilities of the SENCo, gain an understanding of SEND legislation and codes of practice, and develop effective strategies for working with children, families, and external professionals to achieve positive educational outcomes.
